ELSIE'S COOKBOOK
NAME OF RECIPE:
Deep Fried Oyster Po’Boy (or Shrimp Po’ Boy)
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs Shucked Oysters or 2 lbs Cooked and cleaned shrimp
1 Pkg Cajun Injector Seasoned Shrimp & Oyster Fry Mix
Vegetable Oil for frying
4/6 Inch hoagie loaves
8oz Delaware Remoulade Sauce
1 lb Delaware’s Cole Slaw Lettuce/ Tomato
1 or 2 Fresh lemons
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pre heat oil to 350
Drain Oysters/shrimp
Roll in fry mix
Fry for 3 minutes
To serve, cut sandwich loaves in half horizontally. Lightly toast bread. Slather a generous amount of Remoulade Sauce on bottom half of bread. Place lettuce and tomato on bread and fill generously with Oysters and/or Shrimp. Squeeze lemon over Oysters and/ or Shrimp. Top with Delaware Slaw.
Serve with our suggested wine- Napa Cellars Sauvignon Blanc
